Boeing Classic Pairings Announced Couples And Langer Together Again

Hometown favorite Fred Couples will rejoin U.S. Senior Open Champion Bernhard Langer as they continue what is developing into one of the best rivalries in golf today. Langer and Couples, who were paired on the final day of the US Senior Open at Sahalee just three weeks ago as they vied for the title, also both sit atop the Schwab Cup Standings with Langer ranked first and Couples second. Couples and Langer will join Nick Price for a 1pm start on Friday.

Fans arriving early for Couples and Langer’s tee time will also have the opportunity to see Fred Funk, last week’s winner at Jeld-Wen, who is paired at 12:50pm with the defending Boeing Classic Champions Loren Roberts and Tom Kite.

Couples Auction Raises $12,000

At Tuesday night’s Draw Party, foursomes were provided a chance to bid on the opportunity to play a round with local legend Fred Couples. A bidding war came down to two groups, but Mark Selland from BIT Statement Processing came away victorious with a winning bid of $12,000. Selland’s group will play with Couples on Wednesday afternoon of the Pro-Am and will assuredly have stories of a lifetime to tell after their experience.

The two-day Korean Air Pro-Am competition is a unique opportunity for the tournament’s corporate partners to play with a legend and contribute to the charitable proceeds raised for Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason. Morning and afternoon rounds begin at 7:45am and 1:30pm both days.
