Bernhard Langer is the most dominant golfer on the Champions Tour. The man the rest must always find a way to overcome if they are to win. On Sunday at the Greater Gwinnett Championship, a new event held at TPC Sugarloaf just outside of Atlanta, GA, they couldn't find a way and Langer posted his 18th career Champions Tour victory in 108 starts. He shot a final-round 67 for a 206 total and three-stroke victory over Tom Lehman (67) and Pernice (70).

“I'm trying to make it easier,” Langer said. “When things look easy, it's when you do things very well. I'm trying to make my swing better where even at my age, (when I) lose flexibility, lose some strength, I will have a swing I can repeat under all circumstances, make good contact. Improve my chipping, my putting.

“I have a lot more wisdom. I know what kind of shots I can hit, what I can do, what I can't do. That makes up the lack of distance I might have or the lack of other things. There are a lot of very good over 50 golfers who can produce some very good results.”

Langer said the short-game excellence was due, in large part, for his preparations for last week's Masters.

“I knew I would be chipping a lot at Augusta,” he said. “I practiced the short game.” The extra work resulted in a xx finish for Langer, who got to -5 on Sunday before struggling on the back nine to finish +2.

It's rewarding for Langer to know that at his age some parts of his game are getting better. If not better, certainly not deteriorating.

“It's gratifying to see all the hard work that pays off,” he said.

This weekend Langer is teamed with two-time defending Charles Schwab Cup Champion Tom Lehman in the Liberty Mutual Insurance Legends of Golf tournament. This dominant duo won the event in 2009 and with Langer's hot hand will look to make it a repeat performance. The Boeing Classic and the Northwest Cadillac Dealers Association have announced that the luxury vehicle will continue its partnership and return as the Official Car of the 2013 tournament. This marks the eighth year Cadillac has been involved as a premier tournament sponsor and their significant support of the event will benefit players, participants and spectators alike.

A major benefit for the Champions Tour players competing in the tournament, Cadillac will provide courtesy cars for the pros to use throughout the week. The advantages provided by Cadillac are not limited to the pros, however, as additional tournament participants may also benefit from the Cadillac partnership. During the Seahawks Rumble at the Ridge and Boeing Classic Pro-Am, players will have an opportunity to win a Cadillac as part of a hole-in-one promotion during each round and spectators who drive Cadillac vehicles to the event will be offered preferred parking options.

For fans looking for the opportunity to get a closer look at the latest Cadillac models, the 2013 Cadillac SRX and other vehicles will be prominently displayed at the course throughout tournament week and Cadillac representatives will be on hand to offer great giveaways.
