Boeing Classic honored active, retired and reserve members of the Armed Forces during annual Military Appreciation Day. Military men, women and families received free admission, complimentary food and beverages in a tent above the picturesque 18th green. Representatives from different military branches also introduced PGA TOUR Champions golfers as they teed off the first hole in the final round of the 13th annual tournament. THANK you all for your service to our country!
It was a Sunday to remember.
Wisconsin native Jerry Kelly shot -19 over the three-day PGA TOUR Champions tournament and set a new Boeing Classic record in the process. After leading all three rounds, Kelly closed out strong. On Friday he shot 65, Saturday 66, and came into Sunday's final round at -13. The 50-year-old rookie finished Sunday with a 66 to win his first Boeing Classic championship! Congratulations, Jerry!
